TheraNote – Evaluating a Revolution in Physiotherapy Documentation
By Bernhard Wirlach, Dario Moratti, Fazia Elfakharany, Lukas Oppenauer, Miriam Kalkgruber

Vision:
By addressing evaluation findings and user feedback, TheraNote strives to set a new standard in physiotherapy documentation, improving efficiency, collaboration, and the quality of patient care.

Key Evaluation Highlights:
Focus Groups: Four focus groups with 13 physiotherapists were conducted, allowing participants to explore TheraNote through real-world tasks. Their feedback provided actionable insights into usability and functionality.
System Usability Scale (SUS): The SUS evaluation revealed a score of 60.19, pointing to moderate usability with significant potential for enhancement through a more intuitive design and streamlined processes.
Identified Challenges: Issues such as unstructured documentation fields, unclear terminologies, and limited user interface flexibility were highlighted. These insights are critical for refining the app’s functionality and aligning it with user expectations.

Next Steps:
In response to the evaluation findings, we have proposed improvements including secure login features, optimized documentation structures, and enhanced interoperability with ELGA. These adjustments aim to ensure that TheraNote not only meets but exceeds the usability and performance expectations of physiotherapists.
